This role requires the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the community outpatients setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation. The successful applicant will also determine a clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. You would be expected to manage your own clinical caseload, maintain professional standards and to comply with all PPH standard, policies and procedures.

Duties within the role:

  • To be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management.
  • To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnosis and prognoses in a wide range of highly complex conditions, to recommend the best course of intervention, and to develop comprehensive discharge plans.
  • To represent the company externally (locally, regionally and nationally) regarding physiotherapy service provided to patients.
  • To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills, and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range or treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised programme of care.
  • To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
  • To demonstrate highly developed dexterity, coordination and palpatory senses for assessment and manual treatment of patients.
  • To communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all colleagues to ensure delivery of a coordinated service.
  • To participate in the staff appraisal scheme and Personal Development Plan (PDP).
  • To decide priorities for patient management and ensure that these remain in accordance with best clinical practice.
  • To be responsible for equipment used in carrying out physiotherapy duties, and to adhere to company policy, including competence to use equipment.

What we are looking for:

Successful candidates will be a HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist with excellent attention to detail. You will also be energetic and proactive with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideal candidates will be computer literate, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and have excellent time management and organisational skills.
